That is something that probably will never be known. Stallone claims that Carl Weathers got him full force at least twice while making the first Rocky. Once to the head and another to the kidney(ouch!) He surprised a lot of people when he cast Dolph Lundgrun, a ranked kick boxer in Rocky IV and Tommy Morrison who was a real life heavyweight contender in Rocky V. Casting real fighters in action movies can be dangerous because they don’t always “pull their punches” Carl Weathers walked off the set and threatened to quit during Rocky IV because Lundgrun was throwing him around excessively during the “Apollo vs Drago” scenes. Stunt men who have worked with Steven Segal have secretly complained for years that he uses more force then necessary in his films.
