    I’m only 17 and there music has always inspired me. Paul Weller is just a legend.
    My dad got me singing along to these when i was a little kid. And there lyrics have got so much background. I try getitng my mate sinto them but they never give them a chance cause it’s ‘to uncool’

    But i know its not there lose.

    This is much more than a simple pop song… it is a collective statement on the British way of life. Much as Pink Floyd commented on it brilliantly on the song “Time” from “Dark Side Of The Moon” in the line…”Hanging on, in quiet desperation, is the English way…” that’s what this song is all about. Dealing with the day in, day out bullshit, crime, grime & waste of england… “and thinkin’ ’bout ‘yer holidays…” is the only way most people get through it. That’s why I moved to California..!
